American Junkie, Murder 1's second album, finds the group improving their songwriting skills somewhat, although tuneless rants still pop up a bit too frequently. Your opinion of the record will still depend on whether you enjoy the band's brand of sarcastic humor and the sort of obnoxiousness-as-theater schtick that, for some, will make up for the inconsistent songwriting. ~ Steve Huey
