In the world of show business, few men are as talented and influential as the producer, musician, and composer Quincy Jones. Not only has he been a powerful force in the music industry, he has successfully tried his hand at cinema and television. This documentary celebrates the "lives" of Quincy Jones, using music, home movies, and clips of Jones at work and play. Also included are interviews with Jones's friends and collaborators. This eclectic group includes Michael Jackson, Miles Davis, rapper Flavor Flav, Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Steven Spielberg, and many more.

Quincy Jones won the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, given by AMPAS March 27, 1995.
